Everyone says the typical 'Milton Keynes is just that place with all the roundabouts' But have you ever explored beyond the shopping centre!
Its more green than you think!
Here are some of my favourite places in Milton Keynes for family photography:
1) Willen Lake
Not only around the lake is beautiful, there are plenty of scenes around there that make great backgrounds, ( The peace Pagoda, The Buddhist temple, The mini stone circle for example )
2) Caldecotte Lake
There are some great picnic spots! It has nice bridges and its a great walk around.
3) Teardrop Lake (Loughton)
This is another great place to sit and have a picnic, some lovely scenic views and open space.
4) Ouse Valley Park (Wolverton)
The Iron Trunk Aqueduct carries the Grand Union canal over the Ouse!
There is a mix of ancient trees, hedgerows, meadows, a beautiful park for photos.
5) Great Linford Manor Park
There are many features of this park, including water gardens, nearby wilderness garden & the impressive seventeenth-century Manor house.
6) Emberton Country Park
There are numerous play and learning experiences for children from play areas, wooded glades and meadows along the lakeside, perfect for your children and you! to run around and have some fun.
7) Woburn Abbey Gardens ( Temporarily closed due to refurbishment - re opens to the public spring 2022 )
This is a beautiful place, A very scenic location with loads of different things to look out for - including deer!
8) Tree Cathedral
A beautiful landscape full of nature and stunning parkland this tranquil space is fantastic for a photo session even better in low light and misty conditions.
9) Campbell Park
Located in central Milton Keynes, Campbell Park is a stunning example of a contemporary park. It boasts acres of beautiful green space and great for multiple different backgrounds.
10) ST Peters Church Ruins ( Stanton Low Park )
This is hidden gem! Perfect location for an engagement or maternity shoot, as the remains of the church create a beautiful backdrop, especially around golden hour! as the sun starts to set.
There are plenty of other places around Milton Keynes for great photo shoots! Maybe you have a location that isn't listed that you prefer!
These are just to start you off.
